The history of the St Louis Browns is cursed with the famous slogan "First in shoes, first in booze, and last in the American League." Where there is historical truth behind this statement, it places a blemish on the 764 players that made up the Browns from 1902 through 1953. These teams were built around players who did reach the highest levels of the game. They had one of the greatest hitters of the era, one of the best hitting outfields in MLB history, and a single team that came within two wins of a World Championship. With every Hall of Fame player that donned the Browns uniform, there were dozens of "Moonlight Graham" players. These were the players that enjoyed a single game, single at bat, or single moment that would identify them as MLB players.
This website is designed to acknowledge and remember the teams that this historical franchise. It is dedicated to every player who played for the Browns, along the families and fans that remember the accomplishments of these teams. The idea is that by remembering each player, and their accomplishments, their memory will never pass away. There are too many young baseball fans who do not understand where baseball has evolved from, and the players from the past were also great athletes,
Every Browns player deserves to be remembered.
