JANUARY 3

• 1925 - Browns traded Pat Collins, Ray Kolp, Norn McMillan, Cash, a player to be named later, and an option on Cedric Durst to St. Paul for Leo Dixon.

JANUARY 4

• 1940 - Browns select Johnny Niggeling off waivers from the Reds 

JANUARY 6

• 1910 -   Browns acquired Bill Abstein off waivers from the Pirates 

JANUARY 7

• 1920 - Browns trade Enie Koob and Rasty Wright to Louisville (American Association) for Dixie Davis 

JANUARY 8   

• 1903 - Browns purchased the contract of Ed Siever from the Tigers    

JANUARY 10

• 1916 - Browns purchased the player rights of Jack Tobin from the St. Louis Terriers of the Federal Baseball League. 
• 1920 - The Browns traded  LHP Stew Bolen, catcher Leo Dixon and cash to the BaltImore Orioles for RHP Jack Ogden.

• 1947 - Browns sell the contract to RHP Tom Ferrick to the Washington Nationals.

• 1927 - Browns trade Marty McManus, Bobby LaMotte, and Pinky Hargrave to the Detroit Tigers for Otis Miller, Billy Mullen, Frank O'Rourke, and Lefty Stewart.
