• 1926 - Browns trade 3B Gene Robertson, RHP Claude Jonnard, SS Bobby LaMotte, and cash to the Milwaukee Brewers (American Association) for CF Fred Schulte. 
• 1941 - Browns Johnny Allen claimed of waivers by the Dodgers. 
• 1951 - Browns trade RHP Dick Starr to the Washington Nationals for RHP Fred Sanford. 
• 1953 - Browns selected SS Vern Stephens off waivers from the Chicago White Sox.

• 1910 - Browns purchased the contract of RHP Red Nelson from Akron.  
• 1944 - Browns purchased the contract of catcher Tom Turner from the Chicago White Sox. 
• 1951 - Browns traded RHP Bobby Hogue, 3B Kermit Wahl, and $10,000 to the Yankees for OF Cliff Maples. Maples would record 55 hits over 56 games, including 30 RBIs and a .274 batting average

• 1906 - Purchased contract of UTIL Jim Delahanty from the Cincinnati Reds, and RHP Cy Morgan from the St. Paul Saints
• 1907 - Purchased contract of LHP Bill Grahame from Shreveport
• 1910 - Purchased contract of 3B Joe McDonald from Shreveport
• 1913 - Purchased contract of Harry Hoch from Binghampton
• 1920 - Signed free agent Jumbo Elliott

• 1903 - Browns traded RHP Red Donahue to the Cleveland Napoleons for RHP Gene Wright

AUGUST 4

• 1915 - Browns purchased the contract of HP Pete Sims from the Charleston Senators of the Ohio State League. 
• 1931 - Browns INF Frank O'Rourke sent to Milwaukee in an unknown transaction. 
• 1940 - Browns sign Free Agent RHP Willis Hudlin. 

AUGUST 8

• 1910 - The Browns purchase the contract of catcher Joe Crisp from the Newark Indians

AUGUST 9

• 1910 - The Browns purchased the contract of Earl Hamilton from the Joplin Miners of the Western Association

AUGUST 10

• 1912 - Browns traded RHP Elmer Brown and PH/1B Babe Danzig to the  Montgomery Rebels for CF Johnny Johnston, catcher Bill McAllester, and 2B/SS Clyde Wares. 
• 1932 - Browns release catcher Johnny Schulte

• 1903 - The Browns purchased the contract of RF Pinky Swander from Manchester of the New England League

AUGUST 12

• 1910 - Browns purchased the contract of Marc Hall from the Joplin Miners  
• 1915 - Browns received Carl East and Bill Fincher from Little Rock for players to be named later. On September 25, the Browns sent William Rumler, Ernie Manning, Clyde Wares, and Ernie Walker. 
• 1920 - Browns purchased the contract of Marty Mc Manus from the Tulsa Oilers for $5,000
• 1933 - Browns traded Jack Church to Cincinnati for Catcher Rollie Hemsley

• 1910 - Browns purchase the contract of LHP Fred Link from the Cleveland Indians. 
• 1912 - Browns acquired UTIL Ed Miller from Lowell Grays in the Rule 5 draft

AUGUST 14

• 1915 - Browns conduct three transactions in one day. Purchased the contracts  of LHP Red Hoff from the Rochester Hustlers, and RHP Johnny Tillman from the New Bedford Whalers. Browns released RHP Rollin Cook. 
• 1952 - The Browns traded RHP Ned Garver, RHP Bud Black, OF Jim Delsing, and RHP Dave Madison to the Detroit Tigers for UTIL Don Lenhardt, LHP Dick Littlefield, RHP Marlin Stuart, and 1B/OF Vic Wertz

• 1915 - Browns completed a trade with Little Rock of the American Association by sending C William Rumler, RHP Ernie Manning, INF Clyde Wares, and OF Ernie Walker. The initial trade was made on August 12, when the Browns received OF Carl East and RHP Bill Fincher
