1910- In a game that last lasted under two hours, the Browns and Naps would combine for 24 hits in the St. Louis 4-3 victory over Cleveland. The Browns were led by their biggest star of the era, LF George Stone, who went 3-for-4, including a double and a run scored. SS Bobby Wallace and 1B Pat Newman would both hit triples and score a run each. CF Al Schweitzer and RF Art Griggs would both go 2-for-4 in the game. Browns' RHP Bob Spade would only last three innings after giving up two runs on three hits. RHP Jack Powell would enter in the fourth inning and allow only one run the rest of game, earning the win.

1935 - Browns trade INF Alan Strange to Washington for INF Lyn Lary. Strange would play parts of two seasons (34-35) with the Browns. Of his 314 MLB games, 294 were with St. Louis where he recorded 201 hits, including 37 doubles, 84 RBIs, and a 225 batting average. Lyn Lary would hit .288 over two seasons (1935-36) as a "Brownie". In 1936 he led the American League with 37 stolen bases.
DEBUTS
1911 - 1B Jimmy Duggan would earn his first start and go hitless in his four at bats. He would however drive in a run, on a ground out, in the Browns 6-5 win over the Detroit Tigers
(It is not known if this Jimmy Duggan has any connection to the character Tom Hanks portrayed in the classic baseball movie, A League of their Own)
1912 - There would be two MLB debuts made in the Browns 4-3 loss to the Cleveland Naps. PH George Aton would pinch hit for RHP Mark Allison, and draw a walk. RF Walter Jantzen would get the start for the Browns and go 1-for-4 with an RBI.
1947 - 18-year old PH Perry Currin, would get his first of two MLB at bats in the Browns 6-1 loss to the Detroit Tigers. He would bat for RHP Fred Sanford in the 3rd inning, and ground out to 3B George Kell
